One toe in secular society and one toe out...does god then spit us out???
I have been more and more bothered by the increasing focus on performance to connect me to God as a Church goer. Having been reared in Hudson through the eighties I saw these increases in the Protastant churches firsthand.
What connected me to God in my early childhood and following my prodigal return to his community was the bible teachings I learned in Sunday School about Gods love for me and how he wanted my heart to be- Not the flash in church.
God led me to this article ... which addressed each and every concern about the distractions of overt performance ( no matter how much we claim we are not performing)
